CANEY TOWER / TORRE CANEY

Torre Caney is the 32nd tallest building in Central America, located in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. It consists of 38 stories and is 150 m (492 ft.) tall. At the time that it was built it was the most ambitious project to date in the area. The building includes a 3 story lobby, indoor parking and a gymnasium. The roof accommodates a heliport and a pool. Each single floor apartment has 853 m2 (9,182 sq. ft.) of space of which there are 31. 

While working at the Luis Emilio Reginald Garcia Engineering firm in Dominican, We were the structural Engineers and creator of the tri-dimensional modeling - structural finite analysis using ETABS V8.0 and SAFE V7.0, high seismic risk design and wind design (180 MPH) with the ASCE7-05 wind and seismic code requirements and ACI-318-05 code for the structural design of reinforced concrete structures (columns, beams, shear walls and foundations of the tower. We were the principal in charge of the drafting, supervision, and field supervision inspector.
